Voge just dropped the CU250 II in China, and the headline change is simple: there is now a manual version, and it starts cheaper than the automatic-only model that came before it.

The CU250 II carries a starting price of RMB 16,480 for the manual, while the AMT automatic sits at RMB 18,980. In rough peso terms that lands at around ₱149,000 and ₱172,000 based on current exchange rates. Treat those as straight conversions, not local SRP. Voge Philippines already sells the first-gen CU250 here, so a local entry for the II is plausible, though nothing official has been announced yet.
Under the tank sits Voge’s liquid-cooled V-twin, an eight-valve setup running a 12:1 compression ratio. Power lands at 20kW at 9,000rpm, with 23N·m of torque at 7,000rpm and a claimed 128km/h top end. Voge says the V-twin uses a balance shaft to cut vibration, a detail it points to as uncommon for this engine type at this price.
The bigger talking point is the AMT gearbox on the automatic. It runs an adaptive creep mode that kicks in at low speed, handy for stop-and-go city traffic, plus a cornering function that manages deceleration while keeping the bike in gear mid-lean. Riders get three modes to pick from: D for relaxed daily riding, DS for sharper shift points, and M for paddle-style manual control.
Styling moves to a floating headlight with a V-shaped hollow ring, a fuller fuel tank, and a shorter upswept tail for a cleaner cruiser shape. The seat is new too, slimmer for an easier reach to the ground while keeping a low 710mm height. Pair that with the compact 1,460mm wheelbase and the brand’s “Magic Carpet” suspension, and Voge is clearly aiming this at first-time and shorter riders.
Color choices split by transmission. Manual comes in Moonlight Silver and Obsidian Black; the automatic gets Crimson Moon Red and Obsidian Black.

A 250cc V-twin cruiser with an honest manual option and a sub-₱150,000 conversion is the kind of thing that gets attention in our market, where small-displacement cruisers are slowly carving out a following. The real test is whether Voge Philippines brings it in, and at what price after taxes and duties.
So here is the question: would you take the manual CU250 II for the rider feel, or pay extra for the clutchless AMT and let the bike do the shifting in traffic? And is a 250 V-twin enough cruiser for you, or are you holding out for something bigger? Sound off in the comments.
