VinFast says its newly launched electric motorcycle lineup in the Philippines is equipped with an IP67-rated powertrain designed to withstand dust, heavy rain, splashes, and temporary water submersion.
The Evo, Feliz II, and Viper were launched locally on July 31 and feature IP67 protection for their motors and motor control units (MCUs), two key components of their electric powertrains.

According to VinFast, its internal testing found that the powertrain can withstand submersion in up to 0.5 meters of water for 30 minutes. The company also tested the motorcycles while driving through water at the same depth for 30 minutes.
The IP67 rating also provides protection against dust entering the motor, while helping the powertrain withstand exposure to rain, splashes, and spills. However, the rating should not be interpreted as a recommendation to deliberately ride through dangerous or deep flooding.
VinFast also highlights protection built into the motorcycles’ batteries. The battery system was designed to meet European ECE-R136 safety requirements, with the company noting that this is particularly relevant for riding conditions involving potholes, bumps, uneven surfaces, and other impacts.
The batteries also feature overvoltage and overtemperature protection and have passed VinFast’s internal durability testing at temperatures of up to 80°C.
For corrosion resistance, the company says its e-motorcycles underwent a 500-hour salt spray test designed to simulate harsh, humid environmental conditions.
Beyond durability, the Evo, Feliz II, and Viper can accommodate up to two removable 1.5kWh LFP batteries. With two batteries installed, the Evo produces up to 5,200W, reaches a top speed of 80km/h, and offers up to 150km of range.
The Feliz II raises the top speed to 90km/h and offers up to 145km of range, while the Viper adds features such as a TFT display, smart key, anti-theft protection, and vehicle tracking.
VinFast offers up to six years or 72,000km of warranty coverage for its e-motorcycles, with purchased batteries receiving the same coverage. Subscribed batteries are covered throughout the subscription period.
The company also says it inaugurated 21 e-motorcycle dealerships during its Philippine launch, with plans to continue expanding its local network.
VinFast estimates that its electric motorcycles could provide 17% to 28% lower total ownership costs over five years compared with similarly positioned gasoline motorcycles, depending on the model and ownership option.
