Ahead of its official Philippine launch, VinFast E-Motorcycle Philippines has highlighted its upcoming one-minute battery swap system, which aims to make refueling electric motorcycles as quick and convenient as filling up a gasoline-powered bike.
The battery swapping service will support the company’s initial lineup of electric motorcycles, including the VinFast Evo, Feliz II, and Viper. Developed in partnership with V-Green, the system allows riders to exchange a depleted battery for a fully charged one in about a minute at participating swap stations.
VinFast said it plans to build a nationwide network of around 30,000 battery swap stations, which will be located at VinFast dealerships, partner motorcycle shops, malls, and gas stations across the country.
In addition to conventional charging, which takes around 3 to 4 hours for a single battery or 6 to 8 hours for two batteries, the swapping system gives riders another option for extending their range without waiting for the batteries to recharge.
The company also introduced a battery subscription model, which starts at PHP 439 per month. Buyers will receive the first 12 months free, covering up to 20 battery swaps per month. According to VinFast, motorcycles under the subscription model are also priced around 20% lower than purchasing a unit with the battery included.
VinFast says the subscription also addresses long-term battery ownership by covering battery maintenance. If a battery’s health falls below the company’s specified performance threshold, it will be replaced at no additional cost.
Alongside the battery-swapping ecosystem, VinFast highlighted the Feliz II, which offers up to 145km of range using two batteries, a 90km/h top speed, seating for up to three people, and an IP67 water resistance rating designed to handle wet riding conditions.
The VinFast Feliz II, together with the Evo and Viper, is scheduled to launch in the Philippines on July 31, 2026.
