VinFast just opened early bookings in Indonesia for three battery-swapping electric motorcycles, the Evo, Feliz II, and Viper. Prices start at IDR 18.98 million (around PHP 66,400) under a battery subscription model, with first deliveries beginning June 2026.

The Vietnamese EV maker is treating Indonesia as a key launchpad for its Southeast Asia push, and Filipino riders should pay attention since the same three models are heading our way next month.
Each unit targets a different rider profile. The Viper sits at the top, packing a smart key system with remote tracking and shutdown, a TFT display, projector headlights, and dual rear shocks with external reservoirs. The Feliz II and Evo carry over the simpler, commuter-friendly look from their Vietnam versions.
All three run on a 5,200W BLDC in-wheel motor. The Viper and Feliz II hit 90 km/h, while the Evo tops out at 80 km/h. Each one uses dual 1.5 kWh LFP batteries tucked under the seat, designed for quick swaps at any V-Green station.
Range is where it gets compelling. With two fully charged batteries, the Evo can stretch up to 150 km, while the Viper and Feliz II manage up to 145 km. Plenty for daily commutes around Manila or Jakarta, with room for the occasional out-of-town run.
Buyers can choose how to handle the batteries. A monthly subscription costs IDR 84,000 (about PHP 290) per battery, while swap fees sit at IDR 6,000 (about PHP 21) per battery. New owners also get one year of free swaps, capped at 20 per month per vehicle.
For us in the Philippines, this matters. VinFast signed up 14 local dealers back in April and confirmed it’s bringing the Evo, Feliz II, and Viper here this June, plus around 30,000 battery-swap stations nationwide. The brand already has a presence locally through its EV cars, including the PiliPinas EV design contest it wrapped up late last year.

Early bookings from May 20 to June 20, 2026 come with an IDR 1.6 million discount (around PHP 5,600). The IDR 1 million booking fee is non-refundable. Philippine pricing is still under wraps, but the Indonesian numbers give us a useful ballpark before the local launch.
So what’s your take on VinFast’s battery-swap play? Would you ditch your gas-fed scooter for the convenience of swapping a pack in under a minute? Which of the three catches your eye, the sporty Viper, the practical Feliz II, or the entry-level Evo? Sound off in the comments.
