Chevron Philippines Inc., the company behind Caltex, is building the first-ever fuel and service station on the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX). The groundbreaking was held on August 19, 2025, in partnership with MPCALA Holdings Inc., the expressway’s concessionaire.
The new Caltex station is expected to open in March 2026, marking a major milestone for motorists traveling the fast-growing CALAX corridor. It will offer a modern, convenient, and safe fueling experience, equipped with top-tier fuel products and state-of-the-art facilities.
Chevron Philippines General Manager Pongtorn Tangmanuswong said the company is proud to lead the way with CALAX’s first fuel station. He emphasized that the project reflects Caltex’s commitment to providing high-quality and reliable services that meet the needs of today’s drivers.
Arlette Capistrano, Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management of CALAX, called the development more than just infrastructure. She highlighted that the collaboration between Chevron and MPCALA represents a shared goal of ensuring that motorists have a safe, clean, and dependable stopover on the expressway.

The station is expected to become an essential hub for travelers, logistics operators, and residents in Cavite and Laguna. With CALAX connecting rapidly growing areas in the south, the fuel stop will serve as a key rest and refuel point for both private vehicles and commercial transport.
CALAX itself is a major toll road project under Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC). The company also operates several other major expressways, including the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), NLEX Connector Road, and the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX).
The upcoming Caltex station signals not just convenience for drivers but also confidence in the growth of CALAX as one of the country’s most important road networks.
