Brembo Motorcycle Brakes in the Philippines: BSB Junrose Steps In to Fix the Supply Problem

Getting Brembo brake parts for your KTM or BMW Motorrad in the Philippines used to mean a long wait. Sometimes three months. Sometimes six.

That is the reality BSB Junrose Corporation president Ian Bangayan described at the 10th Makina Moto Expo in April. “Traditionally, it has been available on the market… supply is not reliable,” he said. “Sometimes, some motorbikes will wait three months, six months for components to come in.”

BSB Junrose is now the official Philippine distributor for the full Brembo motorcycle braking component lineup, and its pitch is straightforward: local stock, no more gray-market waits.

The coverage right now focuses on European marques. KTM, BMW Motorrad, and similar brands are the primary fit since Brembo serves as original equipment on most of them. Bangayan confirmed that Japanese brands are next in line, though no specific timeline was given.

Brembo itself has been in the market for decades, including in Formula 1 and MotoGP. Its products for motorcycles are the same Italian-made components that come factory-fitted on high-performance European bikes. The difference now is that you can source replacements locally rather than waiting for a parallel import to come in.

On top of braking, BSB Junrose also carries Liqui Moly for Philippine riders. The German brand covers motorcycle-specific motor oils and engine additives, which they officially added to the portfolio in 2024. For riders who already run Liqui Moly for engine care, both brands are now under one local distributor.

Both were on display at the recently concluded 10th Philippine International Motor Show, held June 4 to 7 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City. BSB Junrose has been in the local aftermarket parts business since 1968, and the company also distributes Sankei 555 steering and suspension components and Furukawa Battery for the car and truck side of its business.

For riders, the practical question is whether local pricing and consistent stock will match that promise over time. Brembo components are not cheap anywhere in the world, but waiting half a year for a brake pad replacement is a different kind of expensive.
