Honda PH hits 12-million motorcycle sales milestone — and the Click125 led again

Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) has reached 12 million cumulative motorcycle unit sales as of April 30, 2026 — adding two million units in under two years since the company hit the 10-million mark in 2024.
The Click125 once again served as the symbolic milestone unit, the same model that capped Honda’s 10-millionth sale.
The milestone, at a glance
- 12,000,000 units — Cumulative HPI sales as of April 30, 2026
- 10,000,000 units — Previous milestone reached in 2024 (see our earlier coverage)
- ~2 million units added in approximately 22 months
- Click125 — Symbolic milestone unit for both the 10M (2024) and 12M (2026) sales
- Market position — Honda remains the No. 1 motorcycle manufacturer in the Philippines by volume
Why the Click125 keeps capping Honda’s milestones
The Click125 has now stood as Honda’s symbolic milestone unit twice in a row. Honda introduced the model in 2018, marketing it as a “Game Changer” in the automatic-transmission scooter segment, and it has since become the country’s top-selling AT scooter.
The Click125’s combination of fuel efficiency, automatic transmission, and a daily-rider-friendly design has made it a default choice for food-delivery riders, motorcycle-taxi drivers, and everyday commuters, three customer groups that have grown rapidly alongside the country’s delivery and ride-hailing economy.
That utility focus is what makes the model a recurring milestone unit rather than a coincidence. Each time Honda crosses a major threshold, the Click125 is statistically the most likely Honda motorcycle to be the one rolling off a dealer floor that day.
How HPI got from 10 million to 12 million
HPI’s path to 12 million traces back to 2006, when the company relocated its production to Batangas to meet rising domestic demand. The TMX155, valued for its durability and suitability for small-business use — was among the early models that built Honda’s local foothold.
The decision to locally manufacture the BeAT and the Click125 entrenched HPI’s market position further by keeping unit prices competitive and parts availability strong.
The pace of the most recent two million units is notable: Honda took several decades to reach 10 million, and roughly two years to add the next two million.
That growth tracks with the broader expansion of motorcycle use in the Philippines, where two-wheel transport remains essential for commuting and livelihood in cities and provincial areas alike.
What Honda’s president said
HPI President Takeshi Kobayashi attributed the milestone to customer trust and the work of the company’s dealers, partners, and associates. According to Kobayashi, the achievement reflects the trust of HPI’s customers and the dedication of the people who continue to bring the “Power of Dreams” into daily life, and it inspires the company to keep delivering products and services that meet evolving customer needs.
Kobayashi assumed the HPI presidency after Sayaka Arai-Hattori, who led the company when it celebrated the 10-million milestone in 2024.
Where Honda sits in the PH motorcycle market
Honda continues to lead the Philippine motorcycle market by volume, ahead of competitors like Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki.
The two-wheel segment remains one of the most competitive parts of the country’s automotive industry, driven by affordability, fuel efficiency, and the role motorcycles play for commuters, delivery riders, and small-business owners.
Honda says the Click125 has been a major contributor to that lead, and the 12-million figure suggests that position is unlikely to shift in the near term.
Is this milestone meaningful for buyers?
For shoppers, the 12-million figure is less a marketing number and more a practical signal: a nationwide dealer network, a high volume of locally manufactured units, and a parts-and-service footprint that comes with selling that many motorcycles.
