LS2 Helmets in partnership with Cardo Systems unveiled a new wireless intercom system. Dubbed the LS2 4X, the device utilizes Bluetooth and mesh network technologies to facilitate live conversations between riders.
The intercom allows connection of up to four helmets within a 6 kilometer range. Also, a key feature is hands-free voice control activation simply by saying the prompt “Hey, Cardo.”
Audio is powered by integrated JBL speakers. These include adaptive noise cancellation. The LS2 4X seamlessly and automatically reconnects to paired phones to access functions like music, GPS instructions, and calls.
Rated at 13 hours per charge, the lithium-ion battery supports quick charging capabilities. Just 20 minutes is said to provide two additional hours of use. The unit also carries an IP67 ingress protection rating for resistance to water and dust.
Retail pricing is set at £239.99 which is approximately PHP 17,000 for standalone units. It can also be pre-installed in select LS2 helmet models like the Advant, Advant X, Advant X Carbon, and Vector II. Installation integrates all components seamlessly within the helmet shell.
