Gogoro Pulse Now Official, New High-Performance Electric Scooter

Gogoro just unveiled their latest flagship high-performance electric scooter, the “Pulse,” with its new AEROFORCE design. Essentially, the new design maximizes aerodynamics to reduce non-essential drag and improve airflow to cool its electric motor hub. Gogoro states it as their most aerodynamically efficient SmartScooter designed to date.

While in terms of the performance, The Pulse is powered by Gogoro’s New Hyper Drive, designed to improve performance and reduce energy use. The system includes Gogoro’s H1 motor and Hypercore for advanced traction control, offering 378nm of torque at the rear wheel. It also uses a new cooling system that combines water and air. With Hyper Drive, the Pulse achieves:

• 0-50km/h in 3.05 seconds,
• Maximum power of 9.0 kW,
• Maximum RPM of 11,000,
• 378 nm of torque at the rear wheel.

Notable added new tech features are the advanced active-matrix lighting with 13 LED units for enhanced safety and visibility, adjusting to speed, turns, and weather, alongside a Smart Cockpit equipped with a 10.25-inch HD touch display powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon QWM2290, offering interactive ride modes, navigation, and traffic updates through the iQ Touch HD interface.

Additionally, it integrates with Apple Wallet and Apple Find My, allowing riders to lock, unlock, and start the scooter with an iPhone or Apple Watch, and to locate it using the Find My app, blending convenience with advanced technology in urban two-wheel transportation.

The Gogoro Pulse is expected to be available in late Q2 of 2024 and initially be launched in Taiwan. No words yet when this will be rolled out in other partner countries like Philippines.
