Fiido, a Chinese electric bike company, has recently launched two new models of electric gravel bikes: the Fiido C21 and C22. These bikes are designed to be versatile, lightweight, and affordable, and can be used for both on-road and off-road riding. They feature 250W rear hub motors, 209Wh built-in batteries, hydraulic brakes, 9-speed derailleurs, and smart LCD displays. They also come with smart watches that can control the bike’s functions and settings.
The Fiido C21 is a step-over model with a traditional diamond frame that comes in sizes M and L. It has flat handlebars and weighs 18 kg (39.7 lb.). While the Fiido C22 is a step-through model with a mid-step frame that only comes in size S. It has slightly sweptback bars and weighs 17.5 kg (38.6 lb.). Both models have 700x40C tires that can handle different terrains.
The Fiido C21 and C22 are priced at $1,599, but there is a $200 discount for pre-ordering the bike. This makes them one of the cheapest electric gravel bikes on the market to date, compared to other models that can cost several thousand dollars more. However, they also have some limitations, such as low power, low speed, non-removable battery, and limited frame sizes.
The Fiido C21 and C22 are available on the official website of Fiido, as well as on other platforms such as Amazon and AliExpress. They are expected to ship in May 2023. Fiido is also planning to launch more models of electric bikes in the future, such as the Fiido X2 and X3.
For the Philippine market, it will arrive later this month with a starting price of PHP 85,000, depending on the seller.
