Without much fanfare, Yamaha Motor Philippines has quietly launched the updated 2025 Yamaha XMAX, now priced at ₱311,000. The refreshed maxi-scooter has begun appearing in dealerships across the country, slipping into the market shortly after the grand unveiling of the all-new Yamaha NMAX. Despite its discreet arrival, the 2025 XMAX brings several noteworthy upgrades aimed at enhancing rider comfort, tech integration, and convenience.

While the overall silhouette and aggressive styling remain familiar, the latest XMAX introduces an electronically-adjustable windscreen, replacing the manual unit of the previous version. This feature allows riders to adjust wind protection on the fly, enhancing long-distance comfort with just the press of a button.

Another significant upgrade is found in the dashboard. The 2025 model now features a redesigned dual-screen instrument panel, combining a 4.2-inch TFT (Thin Film Transistor) display with a 3.2-inch LCD, offering improved visibility and a more modern aesthetic. Even better, this new display includes onboard navigation, which is accessible via the Garmin StreetCross app—a useful addition for riders who frequently tour or commute in unfamiliar areas.

Yamaha has also introduced a USB Type-C charging port, a subtle but important modern touch that lets riders keep their devices powered during travel. The handlebar is now adjustable, allowing for a more personalized riding position. Meanwhile, the underseat compartment remains generously sized, capable of storing two full-face helmets, making it an ideal scooter for daily use or weekend rides.

Powering the 2025 XMAX is the same tried-and-tested 292cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single overhead cam engine, producing 28 horsepower and 29 Nm of torque. The powerplant is paired with a V-belt automatic transmission and features an automatic centrifugal dry clutch system, delivering the smooth performance XMAX riders have come to expect.
Safety and stability are also key elements. The scooter is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, supported by ABS, as well as traction control for improved grip and safer rides in various conditions. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork up front and a unit swing system at the rear. A smart key system is standard, allowing for keyless ignition and improved security.
The updated XMAX is available in two sleek color options: Ceramic Gray and Sword Gray. While the launch may have been quiet, the updates speak loudly to Yamaha’s commitment to refining one of its most popular premium scooters for today’s riders.
