Yamaha Motor Philippines officially launches the all-new Yamaha Lexi LX 155 in the country with an introductory price of ₱99,900, positioning it as one of the most affordable 155cc scooters you can buy brand-new today. The new 155cc scooter targets riders looking to “level up” from smaller scooters with more power, style, and features while still staying within a relatively affordable price bracket.
Powering the new Lexi LX 155 is a 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 4‑valve Blue Core engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), paired with a CVT automatic transmission. It produces around 11.3 kW (about 15 hp) at 8,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, giving it enough performance for daily city rides and occasional stretches of open roads. Fuel tank capacity is 4.2L, and Yamaha highlights its balance of power and fuel efficiency, helped by its engine tuning and VVA technology.
The Lexi LX 155 uses a telescopic front fork and unit-swing rear suspension, with a front disc brake and rear drum brake on the Philippine-spec standard variant. It rolls on 14-inch tubeless tires and offers a low seat height of roughly 768 mm plus 135 mm ground clearance, making it approachable and easy to manage in traffic. The scooter is also one of the lightest in its class, which should further help newer riders and smaller commuters.
In terms of features, the new Lexi gets full LED lighting, a digital instrument panel, and Yamaha’s Smart Key system with keyless ignition on higher trims. Connectivity via Y-Connect is available in other markets, and Yamaha positions the Lexi as a practical yet premium-feeling commuter with a flat “gulay board” style floor and generous seat for rider and pillion comfort. Underseat storage is designed to accommodate daily essentials, fitting its role as an everyday scooter.
Yamaha Motor Philippines offers the Lexi LX 155 in at least Glossy Black and Matte Green color options.
