Suzuki GSX-8R Gets Glass Blaze Orange: Here’s What You Need to Know

Listen to article

Suzuki just added a bold new color to the GSX-8R lineup, and it’s hard to miss. The Glass Blaze Orange variant is now officially available in the UK, priced at £8,999, which is exactly the same as the existing color options. No premium, no limited edition tag.

Suzuki GSX 8R Glass Blaze Orange

The orange covers every panel, from the fairing down to the seat unit and fuel tank. Black infill panels and wheels provide the contrast. It sits alongside the Metallic Triton Blue, Pearl Tech White, and Metallic Matt Black in the UK lineup.

Worth noting: the same orange colorway was already offered in Germany, where it came bundled with accessories as standard, including a passenger seat cover, aluminum brake and clutch levers, and a tank protection film. UK buyers get just the color, no extras included.

No mechanical changes here. The GSX-8R still runs the same 776cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin with a 270-degree crankshaft, paired with Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS), a 5-inch full-color TFT display, bi-directional quickshifter, and full LED lighting. The bike also recently won the UK National Sportbike Championship and is currently sitting in the top three of the World Sportbike Championship standings.

For the Philippine market, the GSX-8R is currently available at PHP 699,000 in Metallic Triton Blue and Metallic Triton Black. No word yet from Suzuki Philippines on whether the Glass Blaze Orange is coming here. If you’re holding out for orange, you might want to keep an eye on Suzuki Big Bikes Centers.

Orange is genuinely having a moment across bikes and cars right now, so this move makes sense for Suzuki. Think KTM’s orange DNA, and you’ll see why this color direction could work well for a sportbike trying to stand out in an already crowded middleweight segment.
