Triumph Motorcycles has expanded its growing 400cc lineup with the launch of the new Thruxton 400 in India, following the earlier release of the Scrambler 400 XC in May. The Thruxton 400 marks the fourth model in Triumph’s entry-level segment, rounding out a lineup that already includes the Speed 400, Scrambler 400 X, and Scrambler 400 XC.

Like its siblings, the Thruxton 400 is built on a shared platform and powered by the 398cc TR-series single-cylinder engine. The engine produces 40 ps of power and 37.5 nm of torque, delivering a balance of performance and efficiency that makes it suitable for both city rides and open-road cruising. The bike also uses the same frame and suspension setup as the rest of the 400cc range, ensuring consistency across the series.

What sets the Thruxton 400 apart is its authentic café racer styling. The bike features a front cowling, low-slung handlebars, and bar-end mirrors for that unmistakable racer stance. Classic details such as a Monza-style fuel cap, bullet seat, and retro paint scheme complete the vintage-inspired look. It carries forward the design philosophy of the larger Thruxton models while making it more accessible to new riders and enthusiasts who want the café racer experience without the higher price tag.

The launch of the Thruxton 400 highlights Triumph’s commitment to offering motorcycles that blend classic design with modern engineering in the competitive middleweight segment. With its global strategy, the brand is clearly positioning the 400cc range as a gateway into Triumph ownership.

For the Philippines, fans will not have to wait too long. Triumph Motorcycles Philippines has confirmed that the Scrambler 400 XC and Thruxton 400 are expected to arrive locally by the fourth quarter of 2025. Pricing details are still under wraps, but insiders suggest that the new models will likely come in at under PHP 400,000, making them some of the most accessible Triumphs in the market.

The earlier releases of the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X in the Philippines proved successful, thanks to their affordability and expressway-legal displacement. The arrival of the Thruxton 400 is expected to generate strong interest from café racer enthusiasts and younger riders eager for a stylish yet practical entry into the Triumph family.

With a strong mix of heritage styling and modern performance, the Thruxton 400 could quickly become a favorite in the local scene once it hits Philippine roads.
