A big surprise from Yamaha this week. The all-new NMax ‘Turbo’ just launched in Indonesia, one of Yamaha’s best-selling maxi-scooters, now has a refreshed design and cleaner look. What’s the ‘Turbo’ mean? Nope, not turbocharged or turbo improved, but rather Yamaha integrated a new Electric CVT (YECVT) to provide a “Turbo Sensation” when riding.
The Yamaha NMax ‘Turbo’ is a 155cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that can produce 15.15 hp and 14.2 Nm of torque. Yamaha added two modes of riding: the T-Mode (Town Commuting) and S-Mode (Sport Touring). The usual ABS and traction control are still present. Y-Shift functionality has three levels of settings (low, medium, high), great for different types of terrain.

It will be available in multiple color variants like Dull Blue, Magma Black, and Elixir Silver options in Indonesia with a price range of PHP 117K – PHP 162K, though pricing will still differ once it arrives in our local market.
