Suzuki has announced the launch of a limited edition model of its iconic Hayabusa motorcycle, to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Only 250 units will be produced worldwide, each with a numbered plaque and a certificate of authenticity.
Only 250 units will be produced worldwide
The Hayabusa, which means “peregrine falcon” in Japanese, was first introduced in 1999 as the world’s fastest production motorcycle, with a top speed of over 300 km/h. Since then, it has become a legend popular with its distinctive aerodynamic design, powerful engine, and advanced electronics.
The 2024 model of the Hayabusa, which was unveiled earlier this year, has received several upgrades and improvements, such as a new 1340cc engine with more torque and better fuel efficiency, a six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) that controls the traction control, ABS, and launch control systems, and a full-color TFT display with smartphone connectivity.
The Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Edition retains the same performance and technology as the 2024 model, but adds some unique features to make it more exclusive and desirable. The special paint scheme is inspired by the original Hayabusa color scheme from 1999, with silver and black as the main colors and red accents. The carbon fiber parts include the front fender, side panels, rear hugger, and chain guard. The exclusive accessories include a tank pad, a seat cowl, a key fob, and a bike cover.
The Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Edition will be available in select markets from October 2023, with a suggested retail price of $19,999 USD (~PHP 1.1M). Suzuki says that this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Hayabusa fans to own a piece of history and enjoy the ultimate sportbike experience.
