BMW Motorrad is launching the ConnectedRide Smartglasses, the motorcycle goggles that show head-up display technology.
The BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses are motorcycle goggles that show head-up display technology from cars. The goggles show data, such as navigation, speed, or gear, in the rider’s vision in real time, for safer motorcycle riding.
How do the BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses work?
The BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses can be connected to your smartphone with Bluetooth and app. The projection can be changed, and the settings can be picked before the ride or during, with the multicontroller on the motorcycle handlebars.
The smart glasses are comfortable and safe. The BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses can fit many helmets and face shapes. The smart glasses can be worn for long day trips. The battery lasts for ten hours.
BMW Motorrad gives two sets of lenses with the frame. One set of lenses is 85% transparent and can be used for helmets with sun visors. The other set has tinted lenses for sunglasses.
For riders who wear glasses, the lenses can be changed to the right vision (up to max. 4 diopters) by an optician with an RX adapter. For those who wear contact lenses, the Smartglasses can be used normally. The set also has a case and a USB cable.
