The e-Motorcycle, more popularly known as the Electric Motorcycle, gained a lot of attention last year with the rising interest in electric vehicles in the Philippines. We have the likes of Honda e: 26, Gogoro, Niu 12, and many more.
However, the biggest hurdle when it comes to electric motorcycles is their range. Plus, the top question is: How can we register them? Is LTO registration required?
Well, the majority of common e-bikes or e-Motorcycles that have a speed below 50km/h actually don’t need to be registered because they are categorized as L1B by the LTO. However, anything beyond that speed must be registered. With that said, Sunra, a popular Chinese brand, is making waves in the Philippines, and the best part is that they offer a solution for registering your vehicle, just like traditional motorcycles.
Yup! when you buy any Sunra electric motorcycle, registration is already included, which is a big plus for most consumers. But what types of motorcycles do they offer?
In their initial models, they announced the availability of the Sunra Miku Super, Robo-S, and Hawk.
Let’s start with the Miku Super, their flagship model. It’s powered by a 3000W motor with a range of 135km and basically looks like a petite big bike. I was able to ride this during the eVAP last year, and my initial reaction was that this thing can fly!. Well, No spoiler, stay tuned for our video of me riding all these e-Motorcycles and e-Scooters I tested.

As for speed, this one has the least, with only 45km/h and a range of 65km.
Note that 45km/h is still fast compared to a normal motorcycle. Like with our recent video of the HATASU Hero 11, that e-bike has only a 30km/h speed, and for a normal rider with zero experience, you will already feel the speed and power.
