BMW Motorrad has officially announced the upcoming release of the R 1300 GS Adventure, set to launch this coming July 5th (10hrs from now as of writing). This new off-road motorcycle is set to fill a gap in BMW’s lineup.
First appeared in a teaser post across BMW’s social media channels, the Upcoming R 1300 GS Adventure will be based on the standard R 1300 GS. It is expected to feature upgraded suspension, most likely an off-road tires and wheels, and including extensive bash plates, following the familiar pattern of other GS Adventure models like the F 900 GS Adventure.
Additionally, it might include BMW’s rumored Automated Shift Assistant, basically it’s an automatic transmission system that uses electromechanical actuators to handle the clutch work, making off-road riding more accessible and enjoyable.
The said launch event will be live-streamed, offering a first look at this exciting new model.
