Honda Foundation Launches Students on Safety Program in Taguig
Honda Foundation, Inc. (HFI) kicked off its first Students on Safety (SOS) event at Signal Village National High School in Taguig City.
This program is a joined collaboration with the local government and DepEd TAPAT that aims to teach road safety to students, teachers, and school staff through engaging and practical sessions.
Event Highlights
The SOS (Students on Safety) initiative is part of Honda’s road safety campaign, focusing on safe riding and driving habits. The event featured interactive sessions, making road safety education both enjoyable and informative.
Over 250 students and staff participated.
Key Attendees and Insights
Notable attendees included HFI President Seiji Fujimoto and HCPI President Rie Miyake, who stressed the importance of collaboration between the government, schools, and private organizations in promoting road safety. Fujimoto emphasized Honda’s commitment to enhancing mobility and safety.
HFI’s Commitment
HFI, established in 1992, is dedicated to community advocacies like environmental protection, youth support, and traffic safety. The SOS program aligns with Honda’s global “Safety for Everyone” campaign, aiming for zero traffic collision fatalities by 2050.
