DHL Express has deployed 25 new electric vehicles across the Philippines, growing their EV fleet to 47 trucks, vans, and motorcycles. This includes the Sunra Robo-S electric scooter, which is now one of the official EVs used by DHL.
The expansion reaches beyond Manila to areas like Cebu, Subic, and Clark. DHL says the new electric vehicles will significantly reduce carbon emissions and lower operating costs, supporting the company’s goal of running 60% of deliveries electric by 2030. DHL is investing heavily in sustainability to create a greener future.
“We’re investing in our commitment to sustainability. Our efforts are evident in the new electric vehicles introduced in the Philippines. These vehicles might come at a higher cost, but they offer a priceless environmental benefit without compromising our customer service quality and couriers’ experience. We’re not just focusing on Metro Manila but have also extended our eco-friendly services to the provinces, proving that our commitment to the environment is nationwide,” shared Nigel Lockett, the Country Manager of DHL Express Philippines.
