  • Rider Experience: The motorcycles promote a “twist and go” experience without the need for gears. Two riding modes, Road and Eco, are available. Additionally, there’s a walk mode for maneuvering at walking speeds, both forward and reverse.
  • Appearance: The bikes stand out with their Metallic Bright Silver and Metallic Matte Lime Green colors, set to be the signature livery for future Kawasaki EV models. The rider’s view is enhanced by a TFT meter with smartphone connectivity.
  • Charging & Battery Features: Charging can be done using a docking station or an under-seat socket. The Li-Ion batteries boast inbuilt charge indicators, a symmetrical design for easy placement, and a lockable storage area.
  • Added Accessories: Kawasaki plans to offer additional accessories, such as +30mm Ergo-Fit seats, for enhanced comfort.
  • Availability: Both the Ninja e-1 and Z e-1 will be available in the UK next month, with pricing details forthcoming.

Kawasaki, boasting a 70-year legacy in motorcycle manufacturing, has unveiled two new electric motorcycles: Ninja e-1 and Z e-1 at the 2022 EICMA motorcycle show. This move is Kawasaki’s statement on sustainable mobility and green technology.

Key Features

These motorcycles are designed for the 125cc class and sport a twin battery setup for efficient charging. There’s no need for gears or a clutch; riders simply twist the handle to get going. Both bikes are equipped with “Road” and “Eco” riding modes. Additionally, a “walk mode” enables the bikes to move at a walking pace in both directions.

Aesthetic and Design

A combination of shiny silver and green lends a distinctive look to these motorcycles. Charging options are versatile, with a choice between a docking station or an under-seat plug. Batteries are designed with indicators to display the remaining charge. Kawasaki also plans to roll out accessories, including more comfortable seats.

Both bikes will be available first in UK next month with prices yet to be confirmed soon.
