Honda is taking its iconic MotoCompo design to the next level with a new patent for a two-seater version called the MotoCompacto. This fun and compact electric vehicle is designed to make urban adventures more exciting and fun for families (sort of).
The original MotoCompacto is a single-seater scooter, great for solo rides but basically not for sharing the fun. The patent describes how this two-seater could transform urban travel by providing a compact, stowable, and power-assisted mode of transport. It features three handlebars—two for the seated riders to hold on to and one at the back for controlling the vehicle. There’s even a small standing platform at the back for the driver.
This innovative design also includes storage space under the seats, for carrying essentials. Plus, it can be towed with a rope or even follow autonomously.
While Honda hasn’t announced an official release yet, this patent suggests they’re serious about offering a fun, family-friendly electric vehicle. However, as this is still just a patent, we’ll have to wait and see if and when it becomes available in the future.
