“We noticed the majority of our riders take long rides and we want to offer them a more comfortable riding experience. We looked at other cities in the world where micromobility has been successful, and adopted the same technology in our devices,” said Carlo Rombano, Head of Operations at Moovr.

The electric bikes, specifically designed for the Filipino market, are equipped with sturdy baskets, ideal for easy city navigation. The upgraded e-scooters, featuring enhanced bases and improved suspension systems, catering well to both daily commutes and leisurely rides.

“Our adaptability also extends to our app. With our latest update, we’ve applied comprehensive features that don’t just make every ride efficient but an enriching exploration,” added Shiela Raña, Head of Operations.

A key highlight of Moovr’s offering is its affordability, with costs starting as low as ₱25. The service operates on a 100% cashless basis, using digital credits, making transactions seamless and convenient for users. Additionally, significant improvements to the Moovr app were demonstrated, including real-time ride availability in key areas like BGC, McKinley Hill, and Makati, encrypted payment options, and a user-friendly interface showcasing parking locations, vehicle details, and rates.

“At Moovr, we believe in redefining the way people move through their cities. Our commitment to innovation and user-centric design aims to inspire a sense of empowerment with every ride,” said Raña.

The environmental impact of these e-bikes and scooters is significant, with the potential to reduce traffic congestion and pollution in the city. As Manila grapples with these urban challenges, Moovr’s electric rides offer a sustainable alternative to traditional transport modes.

Safety, a vital aspect of this new urban mobility solution, was also addressed. With the introduction of these electric rides, there is an anticipated collaboration with city authorities to ensure their safe integration into Manila’s existing traffic systems.

Download the Moovr app available on the Google Playstore and Apple app store. Locate the nearest electric bike or scooter, and enjoy a convenient, cashless, and eco-friendly ride around Manila. You can also visit the Moovr Facebook Page for more info.
